We invite you to an exquisite wine evening led by our head sommelier Mate Negulić and his special guests - the Slovenian winery Burja!

The history of the Lavrenčič winegrowing family goes back to 1499, and today's heir to that long tradition, Primož Lavrenčič, represents the third generation of winemakers. Today, this organically and biodynamically grown estate combines traditional viticulture of the region with a modern understanding of wine, while nurturing its roots, long tradition, and local varieties of the Vipava Valley and the northern Adriatic, such as Zelen, Pokalac, Refošk, Rebula, Malvazija, Laško Riesling, Modra Frankinja, etc.

The soils in Burja's vineyards are developed on flysch, but with significant diversity of lithologic varieties of the bedrock sub-soil. Along with the influence of the sub-Mediterranean climate, this contributes to the exceptional variety and quality of the wine.
